Olga Maryeva (Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Ondrejov, Czech Republic) investigadora invitada de la Dra.
Resumen: Luminous Blue variables (LBVs) – extremely rare evolved massive stars, famous for their beautiful nebulae, strong winds and unpredictable eruptions. From the beginning of 2000-s LBVs became a hot topic in the field of massive stars and attracted the attention of researchers. Several methods of search for new LBVs candidates were developed. One of them is a selection of objects surrounded by circumstellar shells. In my talk I will present results of our studies of stars initially selected as LBV candidates and I will show how archive photometric data and numerical modeling help us to estimate evolutionary statuses of stars.
