“A search for post-RLOF contamination: BD−7 5977”

Hot subdwarf stars are core helium burning stars with very thin or no
hydrogen envelopes; almost all of them seem to be formed by binary
interaction, in particular by Roche lobe overflow. Indeed, many of them
are found in binary systems with cool companions, but direct proof of
mass transfer is usually not possible. Here I present a spectral
analysis of BD−7 5977, a hot subdwarf + K-type system and search for
signs of pollution.
